"He stole from us!"
"That little chump! We'll kick his ass!"
"YEAH!"
Such cries came from the streets of Magnolia Town as Gildarts Clive and his newfound pet snake Jessica made their way through, laughing gaily as they ran. Well, Gildarts was laughing, his snake was sulking. "Come on Jess!" he cried out as they streaked through the crowded streets, a long black cape whipping in the wind as it was trailing behind him, "Why aren't you having any fun?"
The snake didn't answer at first, she was feeling grumpy from having been a part of this. As soon as they had entered Magnolia Town, Gildarts and Jessica had been approached by a woman in armour who said they had a 'strong aura' and that they should join her gang of thieves. After turning her down (with his penis) Gildarts had been approached by another woman who had said that gang had stolen her jeweled scarf and that she'd pay them to get it back for her. Shrugging they'd accepted and one thing lead to another and they got it.
But now the thieves gang was after them.
"I am annoyed," the snake hissed, "Becausssse we are helping ssssomeone we do not know for ssssome reasssson that I do not know and now we are being chassssed by random sssstreet thugssss!"
"Awww don't be such a spoilsport," Gildarts chuckled as they swerved around a corner and stopped as they saw the woman who lead the gang at the other end of the street, "This is fun!"[/color]
He turned to run back and saw the rest of her gang had blocked the road behind him, trapping Gildarts in this stretch of residential area -the locals fleeing as they saw a confrontation was imminent- and he grinned at the incoming fight. It had been a while since he flexed his magical muscles and he was feeling rowdy, so this would be fun.
"Boy, you made a mistake stealing from us," the woman at the other end of the street announced, moving a little to let the last bystander run past her as she threateningly approached Gildarts, "You may have a cape and be strong but I doubt you can beat all of us. We're going to kick your ass old man, then take you to the police and say you stole from that lady and we're getting a reward. What do you say to that?" Her thugs grinned and chuckled behind Gildarts who wore an odd teasing-like grin as he stared at her, his eyes a little wild and blood red. "I say, you shouldn't tell your enemy your plan beforehand," Gildarts said softly, Jessica's eyes glowing a bright blue as she knew what to do here, a blue line appearing thirty metres around them all, "Especially not when I can beat all... eight? Eight of you without moving."
"And how, pray tell," the woman laughed scornfully, "Are you gonna do that?"
A worded response was pointless as all eight of them charged, Gildarts simply activated the magic he had engaged moments ago in order to prove his point.
It took mere moments for the thugs and the leader to be beaten down, primarily because of Gildarts's whirling twirling arms of complex magic that were expertly deployed as they closed in on him. All eight of them broke down from their bodies into tiny forms and with the walls around them the bandits couldn't evade in time as they arms -which were also faster than normal arms should be- struck out, one slamming into the upper-chest and face of each of the thieves in turn. As soon as the arms hit, their prodigous strength deployed quickly, the thugs went quiet, knocked cleanly unconscious as Gildarts's attacks hit them and the man grinned as he retracted his magic. They returned to their normal forms but wouldn't be waking up for a while and he completely removed his magic at the same time Jessica did, just as a boy walked out from one of the nice houses on the side of this street. This was potentially awkward -the guy did look much older- since Gildarts didn't know how much he'd seen so he eyed him warily, watching and waiting for some kind of response. But the boy gave him a sign with his hands, possibly sign language.
Whatever it may be.
